Sometimes in life you might find yourself feeling lost or alone, it might feel like you are in the wilderness and there is nowhere else to turn, you may feel God is silent or everything seems to be going in the wrong direction. BUT let me tell you, Jesus went into the wilderness and he was tempted and alone but the Father never left Him.
We sometimes forget that in the wilderness there is strength to be gained and God helps us find His authority by being alone with the Father. So are we lost in the wilderness and really alone or are we being trained to grow and strengthen in our faith?
The wilderness can be seen as many things:
Testing & purification
Divine provision & guidance
Transformation & preparation
Rejection of idolatry
Encountering God
I've noticed that the season I am in I have struggled at times to understand why I feel so alone or lost, then I realised that God is actually pruning me and working on things I need to get rid of in order to move forward for His purpose. The times I feel low or lonely I turn to Him, turn to worship and praise Him regardless of how I am feeling because HE is the ONE who created me. HE is the ONE who has plans for me, HE is the ONE that loves me so much that He sent His son to die for me and take on all sin even though I didn't deserve it.

So what does God want when we are walking in this season?
He wants us to go to Him, to remove all distractions and spend the time with Him like Jesus did. We need to press in and listen to what God has to say, to praise Him no matter what we feel and no matter the circumstance but to allow Him to move the way He needs to move.
God will reveal our strengths and weaknesses and He will show us places where we need to work on. It will test our faith and our obedience and see what is truly in our hearts. God will always provide no matter what, He will show us what we need at the right time and this is not always when we think we need it. He will lead the way and transform us from the inside out. This can be a period of spiritual growth, renewal and revival. It's time to let go of old ways of life, old ways of thinking and to reset our minds in to thinking Gods way. This deepens our relationship with God, we start to listen more carefully, see things more clearly and feel convicted about things we didn't know had a hold on us. God will reveal Himself to us in profound ways, it may feel like a time of hardship but God always comes through.
I want you to know that no matter what you are going through turn to Jesus, call on His name and he will show up. It might not be the way you think it will be but you will see Him start to move in your life and those around you.
JESUS IS KING AND HE IS ALIVE!
