God is Cleaning House

I've just come back from a much needed walk and God was really reminding me of a couple of things as I was walking and just looking around at nature and talking to him.

Sometime last week I heard a Pastor speaking on Premier Praise (this is a radio station that plays christian worship music and speaks Gods words with prayer and scripture among other things) and they said "If Jesus came to you and said Yes to all your prayers for the week, how would you change the world?". This really stuck with me.

I have been struggling with the discipline of prayer time and praying but it hit me that if I don't pray nothing will change. God says that whoever asks it will be given.

"11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it." John 14:11-14 (NIV)

So I ask you today...

If Jesus told you the answer is YES to all your prayers you have prayed this week what would change?

Take a moment to think about it all, pause and reflect. If there isn't much that would change then my friend today is a new day to start to change that! Prayer is mighty and we need to recognise the power behind it. The enemy wants us to stay silent, to not speak out our prayers to Jesus, but as children of the living God we must declare through prayer for our children, for our families, for us and for the world. Jesus is coming back soon and it's time for the church to rise up and understand that we have the power and authority now, In Jesus Mighty Name!

So what will you pray for today?
